The IRCTC online bus booking website brings many numbers of state and private-owned buses on this platform, it is very easy for people to book their tickets on this platform. IRCTC has till now used to deal with train tickets.
IRCTC Bus Ticket Booking Service
The IRCTC has started its online bus booking services on 29th January 2021. This new feature on IRCTC allows the user to choose their buses according to their route. The customer can also check the reviews, ratings, and images to choose their bus.
There is an option available to choose customer pick up and drop points at their convenience. The customer can get the bus tickets at a low cost by using IRCTC bus ticket booking offers which give the customer discount on paying through their banks and e-wallet.
How to book a bus on the IRCTC website?
The IRCTC has already informed that people can book their bus tickets online only on IRCTC’s official website. The online bus ticket booking service will be available on IRCTC’s official app too. If you want to book a bus ticket through IRCTC follow the given step below:-
Step #1 Open the IRCTC site and find the ‘Bus Tickets’ option.
Step #2 Now you will be asked to enter your details like where do you want to travel and from where you will depart, the date of your journey, and more. When you fill in all the details then click on the Search button option.
Step #3 A list of different buses will be shown to you with the name of bus operators, departure time, the time which it will take to reach your destination point, arrival time, and the price of the bus tickets.
You can also tap on the ‘View More’ button option which is tucked beside the name of the bus operator. By clicking that same button you can get the other details about what facilities you will get on that bus. You can also see the cancellation charges of every bus operator.
Step #4 When you will select the bus then you have to click on the Select seat option. On this page, you can also select the place from where you want to be picked up and where they will drop you at. Keep that the seat in grey color has already been reserved by someone else.
Step #5 When you enter all the necessary details, you will be shown the total amount to pay.
Step #6 Click the proceed button and If you are not logged in to IRCTC, they will ask you to do the registration. If you are already logged in, the website will show you all your booking details and you will be asked to enter your contact details and confirm the ticket booking.
